Broke through

He attempted to lift them but they were far too heavy.  He switched back on his oxygen and took a deep breath to get it flowing again.  The room is nearly burnt to a crisp and the floor beneath him is starting to give in.  The woman’s face now looks as if she worked in a coal mine.  She’s gone now and so is the oxygen.  He frantically navigates through the cave like room until he reaches the window.  The area where the woman once occupied is two floors down now.....
